GAME NORLO HELP
NORLO is a logical game where you move and rearrange 16 elements on a matrix trying to reproduce a picture displayed on a monitor.
Game rules:
The game starts with the 16 elements randomly situated on the matrix. The element that occupies cell #3 is automatically moved to the Joker 3 cell thus leaving cell #3 empty.
Your aim is to order the elements by sliding them in the way displayed on the monitor. You can slide into the currently empty cell any element adjacent to it by clicking on the element. You can also slide several elements (a row or column next to the empty cell) at once. All elements that can be moved in a current game situation are marked with a little red arrow in their bottom-right corners.
If you have correctly placed all 15 elements on the matrix, the "joker" automatically moves to its place (i.e. the currently empty cell) and the game is won.
It is possible that when trying to rearrange the elements you end up with two adjacent elements of swapped positions which you cannot swap without destroying the order in the other cells. In such case you must apply the Swapping rule by rearranging the elements in the following way:
- If the joker is not element #14 or #15, then place element #14 at position 15 and element #15 - at position 14 (i.e. swap the two elements). All other elements should be in their correct positions.
- If the joker is element #14 or #15, then place element #10 at position #11 and element #11 - at position #10 (i.e. swap the two elements). All other elements should be in their correct positions.
When you finish this rearrangement (with elements #14 and #15, or #10 and #11 of swapped places and all other elements at their correct places) element #16 automatically moves to the Slide cell and the joker slides to the so-emptied cell #16.
Then the game continues - you have to try to order all elements again. If the elements cannot be completely ordered and the Swapping rule is applied for the second time, the game is rewinded to its initial state with the randomly situated elements and instead of moving the element occupying cell #3 to Joker 3, the element in cell #4 is slided to Joker 4 and the game continues as from the beginning.
As you can see from the description above, the game can end with a single reordering move or require a single or several applications of the Swapping rule and respective change of jokers.
Difficulty levels:
The game can be played at three difficulty levels:- Normal - the game is played exactly as described following the rules above.
- Enigma - this difficulty level adds a puzzle-solving challenge before actually starting to play the game. The matrix with randomly mixed elements is displayed and the monitor is hidden, so you can not see the ordered picture. You have to try to guess it by ordering the elements. This is done via a process of swapping pairs of elements. You swap the places of two elements by first clicking on one of the elements and then clicking on another element. There isn't a limit on the number of swappings. Once you manage to solve the puzzle (i.e. arrange the elements in the correct order) the monitor is activated and you start the NORLO game as in the Normal difficulty level.
- By memory - test your memory at this difficulty level where there is no monitor to help you. Before starting the game the correct picture is displayed for 2 seconds. Try to remember it! Then the game starts as at Normal difficulty level (but, as said above, without the monitor).
