Department of Industrial Design
The Department of Industrial design in University of Rousse, Bulgaria, has been the first of its unique in our country. It distinguishes itself by the original creative conceptions, very good results of education and practical realization.
The department was the first of its kind in Bulgaria embodying a new philosophy, methodology and teaching techniques, all aiming to build up into the personality of the designer the components of creativity, leadership and uniqueness.
Out educational goal is to ensure a wide-profile interdisciplinary preparation focusing on creativity and research as a result of which graduates will become highly adaptive and competitive on the professional-intellectual market.
The Department of Industrial Design is highly honored to have Dr. Giorgetto Giugiaro (Italy) - considered as the designer of the 20-th century - as its professional patron.
- In 1966 Mr. Giorgetto Giugiaro (Italy) became an artistic and professional patron of the specialty Industrial Design - a patronage which we try to live up to by high academic achievements.
- In 2002 Mr. Giorgetto Giugiaro was familiarized with our project for Information Design. Meanwhile we launched our first Master's Programmed for Industrial Design (in future there will be one for Information Design) under the title "The Master Class of Giorgetto Giugiaro".
